Ross M. Evans, Esq.Ross M. Evans, Esq., immediate past President of the IACP and an internationally recognized collaborative practitioner facilitated a dynamic evening of learning for approximately 80 collaborative practitioners including attorneys, therapist and financial professionals.
Mr. Evans is a founding member of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals where he has served on its steering committee since its inception and served as the President from 2007 to 2009. In July 2009, Mr. Evans was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, an international organization of 5000 plus members supporting Collaborative Practice throughout the world.
In October 2019, he became President of the IACP serving through October, 2014. He has served on the faculty and planning committee for the Ohio Judicial College and has lectured regularly for the Cincinnati Bar Association in Family Law related topics. Mr. Evans is recognized as a local expert in custody and Juvenile Court matters and has appeared on several local news programs. He often serves as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the best interest of the child in both high conflict divorce cases as well as contested matters in the Juvenile Court and Domestic Relations Courts and has regularly served as a Visiting Magistrate for the Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
Mr. Evans spoke passionately of his dedication to bringing information to the public on collaborative practice and designing the team that addresses all of the parts of a divorce that can so easily derail in litigation. He congratulated those present on their dedication from the moment collaborative practice began here in 2005 to the passage of the New Jersey Collaborative Law Act in December 2014. He reminded everyone that there is still so much to do to make collaborative practice the first choice for divorcing and separating families. He challenged the audience to offer all of the skills we deepen from training to training and more training to the families that we serve and help them reach the best outcome they can achieve through our guidance and our support.
